PI-34 License Renewal Center

License Renewal Support Center Dates at CESA#3 for 2011-12 school year,  please click here.

The CESA #3 License Renewal and Support Center is working with the Department of Public Instruction to facilitate the transition to full implementation of PI-34.

Initial educators, including teachers, administrators, and pupil services staff member, who were licensed after August 31, 2004 are required to renew their license through the completion of a professional development plan.  The plan is reviewed and verified by a 3 member team.  Two out of the three review team members must approved the professional development plan in order for the initial educator to renew their license and enter the professional educator licensure category.

If you were a licensed teacher in Wisconsin prior to August 31, 2004 then you are grand fathered into the new systems as a "Professional Educator," which means that you can continue to take six credits every five years or you can use the new Professional Development Plan (PDP) tool provided by DPI to renew your license.  Under the new system, you are no longer required to take six credits every five years.  Instead, you can document your learning, both inside and outside of the classroom, by using the PDP tool.

For PI-34 program information contact Terri Iverson at 1-800-261-0000 Ext. 237 or email at tiverson@cesa3.k12.wi.us

Support Seminars

 NOTICE:

CESA #3 implemented a new event registration process and service tracking system in the 2009-10 school year. This program will allow you to register (become a member) once and your information will be saved for future registrations. You will be able to view reports based on workshops/trainings that you have attended through CESA #3 for professional development reporting, etc. To register on the site you will need to answer some basic questions. This is one time only and you will then be given a user name and password for future registrations.

All on-line registrations are tentative until a purchase order is received by the CESA #3 business office.  Please follow your local district procedure to complete a purchase order for registration completion.

Cancellation Policy: Should enrollment be insufficient to cover the cost of the event, registered participants will be notified. Participants must cancel within 48 hours of this event or will be billed.

Note: PI-34 Educator Program and Licensing Members will not be charged for attending the seminars. Non-member participants will each be charged $125 for full day sessions and $62.50 for evening sessions.
